Had one of those 14.1″ ones. From 2nd revision with 300 MHz. I used it as my main computer from 1999 to 2006 – full 7 years! Having it run every version of MacOS from 8.5 to OS X 10.3 Panther on it during those years. Apart from latches for ejecting batteries or CD-ROM units from hot-swappable bays which could break fast the machine was built like a tank. It was my first Mac after I switched from PC. At the time it was really the best notebook out there.

I agree, I used to have a WallStreet Powerbook and it indeed had the best keyboard in a portable rivaling the Thinkpads. The Lombard and Pismo had thinner, less robust keyboards. Also 5K for a Compaq! Wow.

I have an original MacBook Pro and it looks just like that except the trackpad, the only thing I don’t like about it is the Intel Core Duo processor whitch means I can’t upgrade to OS X Lion…….. Any offers for it

@morrolinux – I bought my 1.5 GHz PowerBook G4, however, depending on where you live, eBay and Amazon are great places to look, too. PowerBook G4′s are now six years old, though, and so no, Apple does not sell them or manufacture them anymore. They were replaced by the MacBook Pro’s quite a while ago. Hope this was helpful!

@WhatGoesOnAtSchool nope, most macs to day have about 2.4 GHz for the MacBook , 2.66-3.2 GHz for MacBook Pro, 2.4/2.66 GHz Mac Mini, 2.4-3.2 GHz iMac, 2.66-2.93 for 12/8/4 core Mac Pro and finally the weakest MacBook Air with 1.4 GHz-2.13 GHz
